Hello from Western NC
Hello from Western NC. My grandmother taught me to quilt as a teenager, and I had started to make a couple of quilt tops on my own when life happened. I have been a knitter for quite a while now, and it just hasn't been holding my interest lately. I decided to get back into quilting, and I already have the materials and plans to make a quilt for my son and another for my husband and myself. When I learned with my grandmother, it was on a machine, but I am hand piecing for the moment using paper piecing. My son's quilt is going to be a log cabin with a yellow center block and shades of grey around it. Mine is going to be made of hexes in strips of blues, whites, and greys.
I am excited to be here and can't wait to learn from all of you!
