Hi, Lyncat - - I know this is a very old post, but I have the same issue you did with trying to locate a large enough bobbin winder tire for a newly acquired 28K. Were you able to find one, or get another one to work? I was thinking of the hardware store (ACE?) to see if they had a comparably-sized one, but the nearest ACE store is 60 miles away.
