Saturday Update
Tallchick - thank you - I do like Donna's patterns, I made her Jagged X's for my niece and I've got a half dozen more of hers I'd like to do.
Rob - thank you - I feel you on the heat, we've had hot weather for the past week, it's just made everything miserable. Scares me to think what the rest of the summer holds for us. The last time that we had this kind of weather here was in 2012 - we had a full six week drought (temps were right around 100* without the heat index every day), we were so dry we had deep, deep cracks in the soil, a lot of people were worried about their foundations, including us and several water wells went completely dry.
So, I'm sort of stalling to get to the sewing machine today, I had some piecing issues that I wasn't ready for. I had done some pinwheels a while back where three arms were perfect, but the fourth was out of whack. Same thing is happening again, the ones I have posted in the pic are the ones I did late last night where I slowed my sewing speed down to a snails pace. I think I have it figured out, but I'm still nervous about trying it again.
