Thank you, Tartan. I was sure it wasn't Overhaul Sam aka Overall Bill as those use more rounded applique shapes. That sure looks like what those pieces would be used for. I found a link about the block at

You have to scroll down about half way before you get to the pattern and the other pieces needed. (Look at all those inset seams.)
