For me, drawing a chalk line every six inches or so helped to keep me "on track" and my stitching line distances ciomparatively consistent.
A white or gray chalk pencil brushed off fairly well - if drawn lightly on the fabric.
Good idea! This is my first time using the quilting bar and I find it's much more difficult than it looks. My lines are about as straight as the letter S. If there was a prize for the "wonkiest straight lines" I should surely win it.
