I freeze corn on the cob all the time. I just bring it home from the store, shuck it & wash it & then dry the ears (I don't cut the corn off the cobs) & put them in vaccum sealer bags & vaccum them & then freeze. When I'm ready to eat them I just cut open the freezer bags & fully boil the corn cobs for about 15 minutes.....delicious! I always write on my freezer bags the date & sometimes I will write which store I bought them from so I know what store has the best tasting corn. I still have a lot in the freezer right now.
