Default Restoring Electric Wiring on vintage White Sewing Machine

I have an 100 yr old White Rotary which I'm restoring, the machine and cabinet are solid. The wiring is a mess. This machine is in a Martha Washington cabinet and the power to the machine is actuated by a knee pedal inside the cabinet.

The knee pedal actuates the power in the electrical hookup box you see recessed in the top of the cabinet. The cylindrical ends/connections on the wires do not come apart, they would be destroyed. I'm looking for good genuine replacements or a source for this type of connector.

What I do not know is if the insides of these connectors perform anything with the electrical besides just being a pass-through connector.

Any help is appreciated.
