I quilt for my own pleasure. I like everything about it. I like playing in fabrics, I like cutting, sewing the pieces together, pressing the seams, and especially the quilting part. That is the part I am least good at but I enjoy it the most. Most of my quilts are here with me, and one day they will get donated. Except for the ones we use. I wouldn't donate a used quilt. I have made a lot of baby quilts, and some for friends who are "quilt worthy", and for the grands. Lately a friend and I are collaborating on quilts for foster kids. She was gifted a great deal of fabric, so we are using that. Some I make from start to finish, some she makes the tops, gives me the top and backing, I supply the batting and quilt them. It is all enjoyable to me.
