Well, there are definitely exceptions. I've had about 15 dogs over the last 30 years (yes, I've had as many as 6 at once) and mostly the purebreds aren't as healthy as the mixes, but I had one mix that we called the million dollar dog because she had to have 2 pricey surgeries and a lot of small stuff. There's a lot that goes into health besides breeding. Stuff happens and I usually don't judge things by the one exception.
