I think Storm at Sea is a common bucket list quilt -- it was certainly on my list for a long time before I made mine. It's a lovely pattern and I think fun to make.

I used traditional piecing methods, I would advise being careful on the long skinny triangles around the large diamonds however you do them. I carefully pinned and sewed all my connections wrong, carefully took it all out, went to fresh sides and proceeded to make the same mistake again!! Argh. Paper piecing is perfect for at least that unit.

I made the top some 20 years ago, I was visiting and saw it displayed over a railing and got a quick digital picture. I extended the points into the border for the "Stars at Sea" variation.
