When I first started quilting, I SID, so I needed a ditch in which to stitch! Remember, I am truly self taught. I would cut a piece of fabric into 10 inch squares, lay them out and turn every other square a quarter turn, then sew them back together! No borders Then I'd just quilt along the seam lines. The fabric was the star!
