I have been quilting for only a couple of years, so I am still learning some of the tricks too.
Again welcome, and keep up the hand quilting - it is a dying art.
Hope you enjoyed this year's snow as it probably won't happen again for a long time. Hand quilting is nice. I can't do it because I had carpal tunnel.
