Patterns for the scalloped border are attached as a few have asked for it. This border was used on my very first hand pieced, hand quilted queen size quilt sampler which is now worn out beyond repair from 10 years of daily use on our bed with a group of daycare children crawling on it. The border on this Round Robin is the third time I've used this border and it's an easy one to work with but a key is to use a narrow bias binding when you bind it off. I think I cut a 1 inch strip to do the binding and did it the traditional way - machine sew to the top, fold over and hand stitch on the back and it couldn't have come out better. This pattern was in one of my quilting magazines way back then. The ones I've seen since are different. I believe you can purchase plastic templates for this at the quilt shops and I'm pretty sure I've seen them in the template area at JoAnn's but I just use the ones I made with this pattern. Good luck. If you do use this, please share with us. It really does dress up a quilt.
