I first used it on a Melinda Bula flower applique. There were several layers of fabrics that formed a giant 18-20 inch zinnia. The steam a seam allowed placement of the fabric petals to each other in layers. They stuck together but could be repositionable if one was misplaced or needed to be moved. After layering, the entire flower could be lifted up like a giant sticker and it held together. Once it was in place on the background, it was ironed and became permanent. Other fusbiles that I have found, have to be ironed to stick and they are permanent.
