I haven't heard of this and would like the recipe?? Can you share?
My mother used to make a baked dessert with brown sugar, hot water and raisins - there was a batter you mixed right in the pan with a fork, then put the raisins and brown sugar on top, and poured boiling water over - baked for 1/2 hour. She called it "half hour pudding"... it was delicious! I must make some soon!
