I finished this today (label and all) ... a gift for my friend Genny, who selected the fabric. The quilt top went together relatively quickly, but I decided to try the hand-quilted look using my new Janome 6600 (poly monofilament thread on top, white in bottom) ... and it was a LOT of stitching, turning, stitching, turning, ...

Then I used a paper pattern for the quilting in the outer border -- should have used a heavier thread. I had fun making a scrappy binding. Finally, I used my machine to make a quilt label; very subtle (which I wanted).

Certainly not quilt show workmanship but I still like it.
