I took a two day class some years ago when these were first popular. I used the tool to put the batting inside the fabric and it folded it automatically as it came out. Like a big bias maker. I think originated in Australia. I forgot the name of it as I loaned it to my friend and she still has it. I need to call her about that. LOL . Also we saw the difference from pre cut batting used from left over batting mixed up. Use the same batting for all the strips. Some batting and fabric will shrink when using steam to flatten as you go. That will bowl up a rug fast. We all left with a finished rug, some flatter then others according to the fabric and batting used. It was a fun class.
