Leslie, I'm a bit confused. Leon posted a picture of a tension which you said looks exactly like yours, but then you posted a picture of a Free made New Royal that has a slightly different type tension.
The leaf type tension is actually a good way to determine the manufacturer, as each one had something a bit different, so you do have to be very particular when matching them up. However in this case they are very similar as both machines were made by Free.
I'm pretty sure you have Free made New Royal, but will need to look at mine when I get home. Though made by Free, it does not take the same needles, shuttles or attachments that other Free made machines take.
