When I saw your fabric, both the wolves and trees, the thought that came to mind was doing wedges, like dresden like wedges with one going with the wide part on top then flipped with the narrow end on top, end to end across. With the wolves, then the trees so it appears that the wolves are hiding among the trees or being in a forest.
