By hand!

You do need a darning foot for FMQ, because you drop the feed dogs and move the material yourself. The walking foot is used with the feed dogs up, so the machine moves the material like it usually does. The walking foot just makes sure that the quilt is fed through evenly, and doesn't bunch up on the bottom due to uneven feeding.
