But then wouldn't the fabric be distorted because the fabric that would be in the guide would be higher than the bottom of the pressure foot, so it would have to go down under the pressure foot as you sewed. And if there isn't a place for the fabric to slide into, then the suction cups would be in the way.
As for as the Sew Steady - it's not the same. The Sew Steady is solid, without a cut out. And, Sew Steady does have their name and the name and item number of the product on their pieces. This does not. I have a lot of Sew Steady pieces and every single one has their name etched into it and the item number and name of the piece.
I don't know what it is, but pretty sure it isn't either of these pieces. Are you sure it is sewing related?
