Sewbizgirl, I almost always sew with 1.5", 2" or 2.5" strips/pieces. Anything bigger seems ENORmous! But I enjoy making complicated quilts with small pieces, if I were in a hurry I'd buy a Walmart quilt, I still wouldn't used big pieces :0
Making my double sided Dear Jane in the late 90's ruined me for big pieces, and taught me the benefits of correct seam allowances and precision cutting. One of my most valuable life lessons.
