The angle is ~51’, not 60’. It’s not equilateral. I thought it was and merrily got out my 60’angle template. Checked it. It’s not 60’ angle. Mine is cut using the template in the pattern. It’s confusing to be sure the 51’ angle is at the correct corner, it’s just too close to 60’. Confusing. So I’d choose down to 45. Up to 60 would also work. There is a 45’ angle plastic template like the 60’ template. I did use fabric strips cut 4.5 inches, that way there were 2 in each 1/4 yd fabric which is 9 inches. I’m all about efficiency. That’s why I said don’t wash it. The amount of fabric that frays in washing is essential to cutting 2 4.5” strips from 1/4 (9inch) strip.
