I grew up in the south so Ambrosia was at almost every summer meal. Whipped cream, sour cream, mini marshmallows, chopped pecan, red cherries, tangerines, grated coconut. .
Around my house this is called "Abby Salad". My daughter, Abby, always wanted to "cook" but was too young to use the stove. She was three or four. So, I would let her mix this up and she was so pleased with herself. She wanted to take it to every potluck or family gathering. We also have "Abby Cookies" but they did need a little bit of mom help. They were the traditional no bake cookies I keep seeing on Facebook.
