Yeah, something to add to this thread. I am about 80% cleaned up and organized. A place for almost everything and almost everything in its place! But I still have more stuff than what is needed. Yesterday I went to a one day "sew-in" and took along a bag of fabric that is nice but has just been sitting for oh, more than 10 years without a use or plan. Also, I had some magazines and a patterns that I had picked up at give away tables but I know I will NEVER make any of those quilts. Let's be realistic here. So, away they went with me to the "sew in" and...... all of it was claimed by some one else! I guess I am an enabler. I came came home with an empty bag! About 13 yards of fabric out of my stash and fewer patterns/magazines that will never get used that I don't have to put away. I never considered that one of the side benefits of being "almost" organized would be the ability to look at my stash with eyes open and see what needed a new home.
