Welcome from Texas! Glad you have found a great hobby in quilting. As time goes by you will settle in to what you like best. I would suggest just keep trying different techniques on small projects & before long you will find the one that fits you. Oh gosh I’ve tried so many techniques not happy with any of them. There is one slightly better than others but it has its drawbacks.
Ive only been quilting about 3 years so I class myself as a beginner.
