I don't think it's that difficult, once you get the hang of the stacking and cutting. There's a bit of organisation involved in keeping your blocks together but the sewing is straightforward - no Y seams. The toughest parts I think are choosing a good fabric and getting the layout to work (the design part if you like) but there are techniques to help you with that. The book One Block Wonders by Maxine Rosenthal is what you need. When I first started doing these I read it through cover to cover then used it as an instruction manual as I made the first couple. I found it very clear and easy to follow - lots of photos. Plus check out the Virtual Section here on the board - there's a link bottom left highlighted in blue. Some ppl have been making these in a sew along, guided by Cutebuns. :-D
