Default Hello from NW Iowa

Can't say I am new to quilting, use to make one quilt a year back in the day when we used cardboard templates for our blocks....Went to work full time and after retiring (2017) got the sewing machine and material out again and bought a quilting magazine, and WOW how the world of quilting had changed!! Acrylic templates, cutting mats, rotary cutters, and oh my... THIS IS SO FUN!! I had a small stroke in 2020 caused by diabetes, so I keep patterns simple and work on one quilt at a time, as my memory is such that I forget without looking at instructions again and again if I work on more than one quilt top at a time! LOL I cannot get down on the floor any longer to layout backing, batting, and quilt tops, so I am just happy that my back allows me to sew quilt tops at the machine. (Spina bifida found when in my mid 30's) but I am looking forward to finding new ideas, patterns, learning how to do things easier, and just looking forward to the community as a whole.
