AlvaStitcher, I went and looked at the finished Frolics in my Frolic folder; most have the blue on the right, but some have the red on the right. If it doesn't make any difference to the block, I don't see that it matters, or matters if they're consistent (unless you're bothered by it). I think it's fine to extend a pinwheel with an alternate fabric.

I decided last night that I will remake 8 of the blocks using brighter pinks. I gathered all of the fabric I will need, but I told myself the only way for me to get to Frolic is to finish putting together the sampler I have on my wall. I'm so glad you posted about Frolic, because after reviewing all of the block components, I'm really eager to get to it. It should help me with the less interesting job of putting the sampler together.
