Welcome to QB, soohum. Hollyann hasn't been on QB for a number of years. I'm guessing that you have the manual that has directions for the chain stitch and that you also have the 'spider' that is needed for the chainstitch.
There is a manual at https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B2P3...TtCpVqkMl_L7Xw and there is a web page that talks about the chain stitch which may or may not help. I definitely cannot be any more help than that as I have never seen one in real life.
