I think Tallchick may be on to something. I am likewise generally disappointed when I find bandanas any more. They are small and often pure poly or blends.

Doing a google search and looking at reviews, I think maybe the ones at Michael's craft stores might be worth looking at. Of course, Amazon has everything but some of those multi-packs get pricey to find out you don't like it.

Edit: Tractor Supply does have what it says are 100% cotton bandanas -- both for humans and dogs! I'm forgetting where you are located at but there are a number of stores on the west coast in small towns and big.
