OK I have to try this paper lark! You draw or print out your design right? Regular copy paper? Then pin it to the quilt? Then FMQ round the lines? Or walking foot? Did I just say 'FMQ round the lines'? Me? yeah, right! Then tear it off and it doesn't rip your stitches out? :-D
You have the right Idea...just not the right tools. You do draw or print the design, but you need to do it on a vellum or tracing type of paper...something thin and see through. You need to see through it to place it correctly...then you sew ON the lines, then you carefully tear the paper off and it won't rip your stitches.

:D I know you can do it!

And thank you ladies for the sweet compliments..it was a fun, quick and easy one actually! :-D (and I have extra placemats hidden under the topper  )
