Another big football game for the hubby today, Michigan vs Ohio State. I'm hoping to get through my first Bonnie Hunter clue of the year. I selected fabrics and cut strips yesterday, today I will make sets of HST.
I'm still happy we made our big move, but here it is 6 months later and I'm still not unpacked and it is getting to me... We've gotten a lot done but still have a ways to go.
So for the rest of the VQW I'll have to do some more organizing and restacking the fabric bins tomorrow as well as being able to cover the sewing work table. The closets in the downstairs/sewing room I've been trying to get built since August will finally be started on Monday. Hooray, that means the fabric will be able to be stored in one, and the other one will store other items like seasonal decorations and such. With the fabric in its new place, then the stereo can be set up and there shall be music again.
After the closets, the next big thing will be replacing the under kitchen cabinet lighting that is there but doesn't work for whatever reasons. Took us awhile but we have found the proper switch and that it has power. That will let me be able to unpack the dishes and stuff, didn't want to load up the shelves to snake through new wires and such if needed. I really like under cabinet lighting and I really need it over my sink which is not placed with a window. When you stand at the sink your body casts a shadow from the ceiling lights.
The new house is a split level, the final much anticipated fix for this year will be a shelf on top of the part wall between the stairs and the living room and a handrail placed going up. There is a handrail going down into the basement/sewing room. Right now the partial wall is just wallboard and attracts hand prints on the paint. Want a harder surface/less grubby solution
