I know that once I get back to the states and get get my hands into REAL dirt, I'm going to have to make time for quilting. I love gardening and haven't been able to have a garden in almost 12 years. Growing up, Dad and I tended the garden. Was just a small one, about 1/2 acre and we grew everything or attempted to grow everything we could. Dad worked in the Landscaping Department at Univ of RI and in order to get a raise one year, he had to go to the Master Gardener's Course. Well, since the state was paying for it, he went. And guess who went with him? ME!! The state paid for me to go too! I loved learning new things and Dad and I took our new found knowledge and had an even BIGGER garden the next year. We were growing (ok, attempting to grow) all sorts of fruits, veggies and flowers that we had never tried before.
I CANNOT WAIT TO LEAVE HERE!! 42 more days!!!!
