If you have all the other parts to run the machine, including needles and bobbins, I would work on a motor modification, probably a table top mounted motor with a belt drive, or you could look for one of the old Hamilton Beach reversible motors for direct drive. Without an industrial strength motor you likely wouldn't get the thousands of stitches per minute it may be capable of.
