If you want to add a narrow border (1/8" -1/4" wide ), I've found a way that works very well. For a 1/4" wide border cut your fabric 1 1/8" wide. Fold in half wrong sides together, press. Pin and sew ontoyour quilt top or another border, with the fold facing towards the center of the quilt and raw edges even. If you're going to be adding another wider border on the outside of this narrow one, you can sew them on all at once. Pin carefully and use a walking foot.
