I haven't done much in my sewing room for a year now. I did make 5 new pillows with pleats and embroidery designs for my sofa. Plus 5 wallhangings in picture frames of wild cat embroidery designs.............yet to be hung up at this date.
I finally ordered and received a new quilt pattern by Elizabeth Hartman, her Dinosaurs for alittle tyke in my congregation as he loves dinosaurs. His sister already has a quilt from me back when she was 1st born but they moved away and now are back. He's just around 2yo I think. Got all 36 fabrics pulled from my stash and found enough dark grey fabric for the background, all 6 yards of it. Got the 36 starched and pressed ready to go and just the other day I was able to starch and hung up the 6yd piece. Today I'll try to get it pressed now that I cleared off my cutting table as it was filled with DVD movies waiting for their new home to be built which happend this past Wednesday. Now I have no excuse not to press the fabric. My cutting table is at the same height as my pressing station so I can have the fabric lay on the cutting table instead of hanging over into a puddle getting wrinkled again.
I've been told this pattern has lots of very small pieces and that's out of my comfort zone so this might be a challenge for me. I still have the quilt I was quilting a year ago last month still on the frame half done so will need to get with it and finish her soon.
Wish me luck on both projects.
