Hello VQW-ers. Thank you Heather, no need to apologize

Good Luck on your project Snooze. Yes, some of Elizabeth Hartman's pieces are small but they are usually pretty square or HST. You can do it! How have the storms been in your area? Two of my internet friends are more west than you but survived with no tornadoes. We are going to meet one of them in person in the Quad-city area (just an hour or two from us here in Peoria), plans are for Saturday of Memorial Day weekend.

I've been having a lot of problems with my vision lately. I do have an appointment with a new specialist closer to July. I really am going to miss my specialist in the Seattle area... more than a lot of my family!

So haven't gotten much done in any regards lately. I did get my blocks finished and laid out for the "Eye Protection" quilt. The used long arm I bought remains in the garage. I still don't have a new "primary" sewing machine.

This weekend I hope to set up probably my vintage machine with zigzag and white thread for two projects. One is I have a "super single waterbed: which is an odd size... extra long and almost as wide as a double or queen. I've had a hard time finding a good mattress pad that fits as I want it, but I have two that I can cut apart and make into one that will be big enough and stay tucked in. Will be a big quality of life improvement.

The other is I will be putting together some thin batting scraps (I think Warm and Bright?) into 16" squares for a long put-off project involving some 1970s era cross stitch blocks. I'm going to prequilt the interior of the blocks, then set them with (already made) sashings, and when the top is done I'll use a full sheet of batting and quilt from the sashing into the blocks.
