Deteriorating quilt
Question for fellow quilters: I made a paper pieced wedding ring quilt for my daughter years ago, and her dog clawed portions of it. However, in some areas the dog didn't get to, the batik fabric is still deteriorating along the 1/4 inch line. Also, none of the colored batiks have been affected. The backing is the same neutral batik, and is intact. Anyone have an idea in why the fabric got holes along the 1/4 inch lines?
