I haven't checked for the model number yet. I am so excited to have found this. The condition seems impeccable! The bobbins are still packaged and sealed except for one that was torn away from the packaging ☺
It didn't have a lot of accessories, but there was a snap on ankle with an all purpose foot, special purpose foot and a zipper foot, a blind stitch guide, and a raising plate in order to do FM work. Also some plastic bobbins and a packet of needles. That's all that came with it originally.
For mine, I also bought the straight stitch plate and foot (on eBay) which were sold separately and did not come with the machine.
It's pretty easy to figure out which model it is - if it was three zigzag stitch choices it is the 353, if it has four it is the 354 (the 354 added a "lightning bolt" stitch which was called a stretch stitch.).
I LOVE this machine - it actually sews very nicely for a machine that runs on a timing belt, mine can hit speeds of 1000 spm which is pretty solid. During Covid I went to visit my son and I took my Genie with my on the airplane (I put it in the overhead bin.). Of course TSA pulled me aside and questioned me - "does it have sharp parts?" and I said, "Well yes, it is a sewing machine!" I explained that I was going to sew Covid masks with it and the agent smiled (at least I think so, she had on a mask) and sent me on through.
