onebyone, do you think her powdered starch was cornstarch?
I kept looking for recipes and saw this website:

two useful recipies on this website. the first way was no good -- cornstarch in water clogged sprayer. the second way was to cook the cornstarch in water and shake well. put it in glass sprayer bottle. The third recipe was with vodka.
Sta Flo prices on amazon are up to 18$ now. I wonder if the dollar stores carry it.... If anyone has a safeway or HEB nearby, be sure to check them out now if you want to squirrel away a bottle. And of course, we can call Henkel to beg them not to not off their starch product.
