This thread has be silent for a while so I am jumping in with a small success to use up what is in my sewing room. Not fabric but batting scraps. This week at a small quilt group meeting they mentioned that they needed to cut batting for baby burp cloths. Well, I had a solution. I have a pile of odds and ends of batting scraps that are too small for "frankenbattng" but too big to just chop up for dog beds. Solution... cut them up for the burp the cloths. So far 25 and I still have plenty to double that amount or more. It will be satisfying to have that pile out of my space and being used purposefully. They all go to one of the women's shelters in my town and one of the homeless residences for families.
