I admit I love to look at these monster machines but would not actually want one.
FWIW here is what I ended up with:
Years ago I bought a used Bernina Artista 170, which came with the embroidery module. I do not care for machine embroidery, so have never used it, but the 170 is a darned dependable piecing machine.
I also bought a Juki 2010Q just for free motion quilting (bigger throat area), and I would love to get the Juki DDL-8700 for a combo piecing/free motion machine as I love the table setup, but on that machine you cannot drop the feed dogs, what a shame!
Later, I bought a used, entry level longarm setup for quilting full quilts. It's been a steep learning curve, but I love having the quilt on a longarm. And I have an old Singer Featherweight for portability, and because they are just beautiful objects.
