I'm currently using my oldest Jarome machine called Harmony 8080, it must be 30 years old and sews like a dream. I have two other Janome machines and both of them are in the shop. If this Harmony 8080 is still available I'd happily suggest it...such a workhorse and does everything I need it to. Mine cost around $289 way back then.
