Housekeeper is not a manufacturer's name. It was most likely a machine that's described as a "badged" machine - one that was made for a certain store, sewing machine seller, etc.

Three things I would suggest. One, take a photo in low resolution. Modern cameras take photos at very high resolution. Websites don't like that (takes up too much space) and will not always load. Two, I would take that photo and load it here and also at VSS. (We don't have as many "old sewing machine nuts" here as we used to have.) If you do facebook, find a vintage sewing machine site to post your photo.

You need to know who actually made the machine to find parts. Once you know more about the machine, it's possible that someone will know which spring will work on your vintage machine.
