Pretty much all disposables by the time we had children in the mid 80's, early 90's. I worked full time and wasn't going to deal with washing them on top of everything else. No diaper delivery service out here in the country, but they were available in big cities. Is that still a thing? I tried breastfeeding, but didn't know anyone else who had and struggled. No internet back then to look things up. I realize now that I wasn't drinking enough, but at the time, gave up.

I've had discussions with our younger daughter about some of the "new and better" things that her generation is doing. Baby led weaning was a big one, as was sleep training. Ummm.... We did pretty much the same thing, it was what came naturally - we just didn't have a name for it, lol. She was almost offended that it wasn't a new way of doing things that Gen X and Gen Z invented, but that Boomers had been doing it, too.

Growing up on a farm, we often rode in the back of pick up trucks- whether to the next field or the farm store in the next town. Can't believe there weren't more accidents. Thankfully, that is no longer acceptable. People would no more think of doing that than they would having kids in a car without a car seat.
Yes, and the rubber pants that made up the ensemble!

Peaceandjoy, did you see diaper duty (as in changing) with your baby brother?

By age 8, I was making bottles and changing diapers, right down to seeing my baby brother off to bed for the night in double diapers and rubber pants!
