I do not want to go back to the ways of my childhood. Most things were labor intensive especially keeping a house in order. We lived rural and had a one local general store unless a long drive into town . Our selection of products was what the owner of the store wanted everyone to have, he never had any newer items at all. Kept saying they were newfangled and no one needed them. I have always had a gray spot for mom and pop stores because of him, the old coot.
