Hello Quilters, I needed to make a quilt for a U.S. Navy veteran. I had the naval fabric that I used here in the outer border but I fretted over just what to make. I finally decided to try an anchor. It’s big but not as big as the real ship’s anchor-lol- The second picture is the top when I realized a mistake and had to change out a square. The top before quilting measures 65x81 and is QOV #55 I hope she likes it!
We have been going through a stressful time with our 11 year old granddaughter’s health. We did get some good news Tuesday that no cancer or autoimmune diseases were detected. Maybe subconsciously I was lead to make this ship’s anchor for the veteran bc we have held firm to our Jesus anchor. Who knows but I will always relate this quilt to good news for Nora.
