This is a Kim Diehl pattern I got at my LQS. The pattern I think is new-ish and was made with a more current fabric line. I bought a 12 fat quarter bundle of Kim Diehl fabrics about 6 years ago and I guess was waiting for the right pattern to come along. Anyway, I decided this would be a good match. The pattern called for 26 fat quarters and I only had 12 which was plenty. It would have had more variety/scrappiness to it, but it would also have had a lot of left over fabric. Kim's patterns are mainly scrappy so that works for her.

The pattern did not include the checkerboard top and bottom borders, but I had already cut the fabric and wanted to use it up. During this process I decided I should not wait 6 years to use up fabric! I like it very much and am a huge fan of Kim Diehl. Thanks for looking.
