I read an article recently, about laundry and dishwasher detergent pods. They may be convenient, but the amount of detergent is much more than is needed. The laundry pods are especially worrisome because they cause more wear and tear on the clothing fibers and whatever holds all the stuff inside the pods does not always completely break down in water, which can lead to sewage and septic issues.
I like the idea of detergent sheets but so far, I have only seen scented ones at astronomical prices here. Can you tear them? Do they leave a residue on your fingers? Do they work in cold water?
